wEEKLY NEWSLETTER - SEPTEMBER 12, 2019
Dear St. Constance School Families,
Please join us this coming Sunday, September 15th at the 10:30 a.m. Family Mass as we celebrate Catechetical Sunday. Catechists from both the School and Religious Education Program will be commissioned at this Liturgy. A reception will follow immediately in Borowczyk Hall. We hope that you will be able to join us.
You are also cordially invited to join the students in Grades K-8 at the weekly 8:00 a.m. Mass next Wednesday, September 18th.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank Fr. Rich Milek and Parish Staff, Mrs. Marie Blecka, Ms. Jennifer Blecka, the Student Council, and entire St. Constance School community for the beautiful 9/11 Memorial Tribute and Walk for Peace yesterday. Please watch for pictures of this special dedication.
As the month of October is fast approaching, I would also like to extend an invitation for you to join us as we pray the Rosary on the following Tuesdays; Oct. 1, 8, 15, 22, and 29 at 12:45 p.m.
Mark your calendars for the annual Parish Dinner Dance to be held on Saturday, October 12, 2019 in the Handzel Center. Join us for an evening of fun while supporting the parish. Make sure to reserve your seat and try your luck in the raffle. Please watch for further information.
Once again, I am asking for everyone’s cooperation. In a previous correspondence I shared with you that several of our students have severe allergies to peanuts/peanut butter/tree nuts. I am asking that our entire school family assist me in keeping our children healthy by NOT sending food products containing peanuts to school. As I recognize this may be an inconvenience, I am sure you understand the seriousness of this matter. Thank you for your understanding.
This is to remind you that Van Gogh Photographers will be here to take student pictures next Wednesday, September 18th. Please note that this is a pre-pay program and orders/payment need to be returned by picture day. This will be an out-of uniform day for all students.
Many families are currently receiving some form of financial assistance whether it be through Tax Credit or the Big Shoulders Fund per the recommendation from the school! Please be advised that there is some level of accountability that is expected from each scholarship recipient family in the form of giving back to the school. There are many opportunities for you to reach out and assist us. Currently, we are looking for more lunch monitors to help with the children.
May I also recommend that recipients write a note of thanks and gratitude to their donors. Keeping these ongoing relationships are not only beneficial, but welcome. Our “donors” would love to know how their support has made a difference for you and your family! Students should always strive to perform their best in school, as grades may affect future eligibility. If the scholarship has a specific name, then that is who you address your correspondence too. I ask that you please make this a priority!
This is also a reminder for any new and interested parties, that there will be a Band recruitment meeting on Monday evening, September 23rd at 7:00 p.m. in the Faculty Lounge. Please enter through the Strong Street doors.
Thank you to those individuals who were able to support the recent Zanies Raffle. Congratulations are extended to Ms. Renata Jablonski who won 4 tickets to the Comedy Club. Our profit was $95.00 that will benefit the school.
Today the Home and School Association kicks off their World’s Finest Chocolate Fundraiser. Please make sure to purchase yours while supplies last!
Finally, as you know, our best form of marketing is word of mouth. Please invite others to join our school community by spreading the word! Please keep in mind that if you are the named referral family for a new registration, you will receive a $250.00 tuition reduction for your efforts as a token of our appreciation.
Have a pleasant weekend.
