We invite all students in grades K-8 to participate in a Health Program sponsored by the Chicago Wolves. They are trying to promote a healthier lifestyle through this initiative. Please see the enclosed information for further details.
Make sure to join us and purchase your tickets to the HSA Fall Fest to be held on Saturday, October 27, 2018 from 6:00-9:00 p.m. in the Handzel Center Gymnasium. Specific information is included in the Thursday Folder.
Parents, we are asking your cooperation when the maintenance department is caring for the parish grounds; especially at the convent location. When our employees are cutting the grass, etc., we ask that you please refrain from socializing/playing in that area until the work is completed. Unexpected particles and unidentified fragments can fly from machinery causing a safety hazard.
I would also like to bring your attention to a potential problem during our dismissal procedures at the Breezeway Doors. Children are darting across the parking lot to play by the convent, while parents are congregating in the center of the lot where cars are waiting to exit. I ask that you please be mindful of this and move to the side so that the flow of dismissal can go smoothly. Children should wait with the adult until all cars have exited the lot before running to the convent lawn. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.
This is a reminder that per the Parent-Student Handbook, girls may begin to wear the navy uniform dress slacks in place of the uniform jumper or skirt beginning November 1st. White turtleneck shirts may also be worn November through March by both girls and boys.
In addition, I would ask for parent’s support in making sure that their child does not wear bracelets, etc. to school that are not part of our uniform code.
We would like to congratulate our JV Red Soccer Team for winning the Division Championship! These students put forth their best effort, but lost by 1 point in overtime to St. Celestine in the semi-finals! We are so very proud of their accomplishments. Please note, that in celebration of these students, all soccer players (both JV and V) will have a special out of uniform day next week Thursday, October 25th.
Our Scholastic Book Fair earned a profit of $945.15. Thank you for supporting us!
Included in today’s folder please find the 2018-2019 Family Directory for your convenience. Our thanks are extended to Mrs. Barbara Biernat for putting this together on our behalf.
Thank you to Mrs. Donna Rzepka for her donation of a file cabinet for the school office! We appreciate your thoughtfulness.
In conclusion, please find a community survey we have been asked to assist with. Please take a few moments of time to provide your responses. Thank you for your cooperation.
