Please note that the deadline for returning the Application for Re-Enrollment 2019-2020 school year was March 1, 2019. This is a communication that we heard you! Did you miss out on the March 1st early enrollment opportunity because you had not received your tax refund? Here at St. Constance we are feeling the school spirit! For one night only, on Tuesday, March 26, 2019 from 6:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m., we are allowing families who have not registered to enroll without paying a late fee. We hope that this event allows those of you who were waiting for their tax refund to register at this time. Don’t miss out! One day! One hour! An accurate number is needed to pursue further Grant Opportunities and Funding for the upcoming school year. Thank you for your cooperation.

Included in today’s folder, please find the Financial Commitment Form for the 2019-2020 school year. Please review this document, sign and return to the school office no later than Friday, March 29, 2019. Please keep in mind that the 2019-2020 Book Fee will also be due on or before Tuesday, April 30, 2019.

Our St. Constance School students participated in the 28th Annual Zaner-Bloser National Handwriting Contest. Congratulations to Ms. Prokuski and the following “Grade Level” winners who will represent St. Constance School in the National Competition: Aniela Szponar, Emily Markevich, Demetra Saltouras, Sebastian Cortel, Emily Jablonski, Jaidalynn Ortiz, Emily Faber, Angelica Michals, and Taylor Saidla. We will be notified by May 1, 2019 if any of these students will advance to the next level. Best wishes to all!

Make sure to join in the fun and attend the St. Constance Parish Family Ice-Skating Event on Saturday, March 30, 2019 at McFetridge Sports Center. Specific information is included in the Thursday Folder. For further information, please contact Sr. Anna at 773-545-8581, ext. 40.

Students that study hard and get good grades will earn Chicago White Sox Tickets through their “Get Good Grades Program”. Please see the enclosed information for specific details.

Parents, I am asking for your cooperation once again in a matter that is becoming increasingly disruptive. Arriving late for school/church is becoming excessive. An occasional tardiness can occur, but it should not be a daily habit. If this behavior is applicable to you, please make the necessary modifications.

Thank you for supporting the Class of 2019 Gourmet Delight Cheesecake Fundraiser. All orders/monies need to be returned by Thursday, March 21, 2019. Cheesecakes will be available for pickup on Thursday, April 4, 2019 from 3:00-5:00 p.m.in Borowczyk Hall.

Thank you to the St. Constance Young at Heart Organization for their recent donation of $60.00 in pennies towards our School Penny Drive. We are grateful for your continued support and friendship.

I would like to remind you that per the Parent-Student Handbook, the “winter” uniform dress code will end on March 31, 2019. Turtlenecks may no longer be worn, and girls must once again wear their uniform jumper or skirt. Until you are notified to the contrary, students may not wear the blue walking shorts. All are encouraged to review the general dress code policy in the Parent-Student Handbook which is posted on our school website. I am asking for everyone’s assistance in making sure that their child is dressed appropriately and in compliance with the school’s dress code.

Please be aware that as the weather continues to improve and with adequate supervision, the students will once again be going outdoors for recess. Please make sure that your child is dressed appropriately reflecting the weather forecast.

All St. Constance School families are invited to join our Gallagher Scholars and participate in the official St. Patrick’s Day Parade this coming Saturday, March 16, 2019. All interested parties are to meet by the flag pole that has the #4 on it at the very center of Columbus Drive. We are number 65, so our school representatives should arrive by 12:45 p.m. at the latest, as we will begin walking by 1:15 p.m. Please dress in layers, as it may be cool.

This is to remind you that tomorrow, Friday, March 15th and again on Tuesday, March 19th the students will have a Student Council sponsored Out of Uniform Day in celebration of the upcoming holidays. As always, please dress appropriately reflecting the theme of the day.

Happy St. Patrick’s and St. Joseph’s Day!

Sincerely,

Eva M. Panczyk
